While major funding is imminent, they're struggling with their CAP table, staffing, branding, and the complications inherent to scaling-up.

He needs to upgrade his platform, implement freemium and subscription offerings, incorporate frequently requested features, and explore options to increase his subscriber base. He's been approached by a major brand about partnership or potential acquisition and needs to navigate an increasingly complex business.
